We collect what we need to process the certificate action you asked for, we share it only with the FAA and the few providers that make the service work, and we never sell it. Your mobile number and text-message consent are never shared for anyone's marketing.
Effective October 7, 2026. This policy covers daytonadpe.com and the services Daytona DPE provides through it.
What we collect
- What you type into the form: your name, email, phone number (optional), FAA Tracking Number (optional), the service you need, and any message.
- Your text-message choice: whether you checked the box to receive texts, when, and which version of the consent wording you saw.
- Documents you send us: certificates, logbook pages, medical certificates, identification and similar paperwork you upload or email for your application.
- Appointment and payment status: your appointment time and whether your payment went through. Payment is made by card through a secure Stripe link once you're qualified, before the appointment; Stripe handles the card, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Website analytics: pages visited, the site that referred you, device and browser type, collected through cookies and tags from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising, plus a first-party cookie that remembers how you first arrived.
- Our own visit count: when a page loads, our site records the time, which page it was, the site that referred you, any ad or campaign tag in the link and your general device type (phone, tablet or computer), under a random session id that lasts only as long as your browser tab. If you tap one of our phone numbers or email addresses on the site, it also notes that tap: which of our numbers or addresses, the page and the time, under the same session id, so a call or email that follows can be credited to the ad or page that led to it. This count sets no cookie, stores no IP address or personal information, is kept about 90 days, and is used only to understand which ads and pages bring pilots to us.
Why we use it
- To review your eligibility and process the certificate action you asked for.
- To contact you about your request by email, and by text message only if you opted in.
- To schedule your appointment and take payment.
- To keep the records the FAA requires of a Designated Pilot Examiner.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
Who we share it with
- The FAA (including IACRA and the FAA's designee systems), as required to complete your certificate action.
- Stripe, our payment processor, to take your payment.
- Service providers that run the service on our behalf: email and document storage, website hosting, analytics, and our text-message delivery provider. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
- Anyone else only when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Text messages
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Texts are sent only if you check the text-message box on our website form, and only about your own request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. The full program terms are in our SMS Terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your request is open, and afterwards for as long as FAA recordkeeping rules for examiners require. Website analytics data is kept according to each analytics provider's retention settings. You can ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
- Email us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser to limit analytics.
Our services are for certificated pilots and are not directed at children under 13.
